Google discloses another security flaw in Windows

Google researches have found a new security flaw in Windows 8.1 as well as Windows 7.
Windows 7 and 8.1 has a function called CryptProtectMemory, which generates an encryption key at login. This key can be used by other applications that run at the same login session and can share the data. There is another process called the CNG.sys that has to verify these tokens. But this thing(CNG.sys) doesn't properly verify the token. As a result,it is vulnerable and someone can impersonate the computer's legitimate user and access the its data(that too in an encrypted form).Though its not an easiest thing to do,hackers(or attackers) can exploit any other vulnerabilities of the computer through which they can exploit it.

Windows users will have to be more careful unless Microsoft releases a patch or an update to fix this flaw.

PhoneSpy:New malware hits android devices

If you guys use an android device, its your everything. From the calls and messages to the selfies you take,it becomes your best friend to keep up with friends and family on the social networks. But starting from this week, you will have to more careful as a malware has hit the android devices.Who knows you might be the victim.!
Yesterday,MalwareBytes released a shocking news on an app called 'PhoneSpy'. This nasty app takes the best advantage of your relationship with your phone and harvests the most personal information from your device.Attackers use this malicious app and inject malicious code into other safe apps that are obtained from the Google Store and are later re posted in the third party apps.
Once this is installed,an app infected with the PhoneSpy will start on its own and generate admin rights by itself. After this,a database is created in your device to store call logs, contacts, messages and many more.Your photos will also be infected and your location can also be tracked very easily.Although,MalwareBytes is unclear on who might be behind it.But it is clear that users must stay away from this nasty app.
Good idea is to use any of the mobile security software.Since it is the one which revealed this malware, you guys should better install MalwareBytes in your devices. Bitdefender Mobile Security and Antivirus and avast! Mobile Security & Antivirus would also be your best choice.
